Designed to fit smaller accent lamps. It has a clip top which allows the shade to fit on an standard light bulb as well as a compact florescent bulb. The dimensions are 3.75" top dia., 10.5" bottom dia., and a vertical height of 6".
The wood lamps shades are all handmade, one at a time. The pieces are all cut and sanded, and hand sewn to the metal rings, which are at the top and bottom. The dark horizontal line near the top and bottom of the shade are the shadows of the metal rings. The darker lines going from top to bottom are where the individual slats of wood overlap, giving a pleated shade appearance.

- Don't the wood shades burn from the heat of the bulb?
- No, They are less combustible than a paper or fabric shade. They are also designed to allow for adequate airflow, for the recommended type of light bulb. A normal incandescent bulb or compact florescent bulb may be used.
- Why are some shades darker than others?
- Minute differences in the thickness of the wood make them more or less translucent. A slightly thicker wood is slightly darker. Also, as the wood ages, it becomes a more rich honey color and becomes slightly darker.
- How do I clean a wood shade?
- As you would with any shade. Just use the soft brush on your vacuum cleaner (the brush that is round with the longest bristles). Vacuum gently from top to bottom as you turn the shade. If you spill something on it, just use a damp cloth and wipe from top to bottom (with the grain of the wood).
